NFL 2025-2026 season

^^ Absolutely no danger of the Niners winning the Super Bowl, or even getting deep into the Playoffs as much as "Any given Sunday" is more real than ever before this season the 49ers don't have the D to mix it with the better standard of teams they'll face in the Playoffs & that is providing they can sneak in. They have profited from an easier schedule this season, although the NFC West has 2 very strong teams.

As has been observed by many of us there are not many teams that stand out as elite this season & the parity that the League searches for is most evident, I'll stick my neck out & say that none of the above will win the Super Bowl this season as much as I'd like to be proven wrong.

Win or bust. Lions playoff season starts tonight.

Lions are 3 point favourite, over/under 54.5 points

This should be a good game for neutrals with 2 high scoring offences. The Cowboys have the momentum on a 3 game winning streak, neither team can really afford a loss.. Difficult to put a finger on the difference between last seasons Lions & this when you consider despite the extent of last years injuries. The loss of Johnson & to a less extent Glenn has has a considerable impact on results.

The game started quietly enough, both teams moved the ball well on their opening drives, but good defensive stopped meant they had to settle for field goals.
Despite falling 18 point behind in the 3rd quarter you felt that the Cowboys were never out of it & they drew within 3 points before the Lions pulled away again.
The Cowboys contributed to their own down fall with 3 turnovers & penalties hurt them at vital times. They were unlucky to have an offensive pass interference call on Ferguson which potentially cost them points.
A big point of difference was the Lions racking up 261 yards on 8 kickoff returns, the Cowboys actually had 9 more offensive yards, despite Prescott being sacked 5 times, so field position was vital.
The Lions had an advantage in Red Zone efficiency 4/5 against 1/3 for the Cowboys.
Williams & St Brown both had 90+ yard receiving games & as I suggested last week Gibbs was utilize more in the passing game with 7 catches for 77 yards.
Lamb had a 100 yard game before leaving with concussion, but Flournoy stepped up with 9 catches for 115 yards & a TD.
Al-Quadin Muhammad had 3 tackles & 3 sacks as he starred for the Lions defence.
The rams are well & truly alive but still with a couple of tough games to come, but they have the weapons to go toe to toe with any team.
This looks like the end for the Cowboys who despite an easier schedule they will struggle to win out.

Great game and good to see Lions firing on all cylinders again despite so many injuries. With Packers and Bears facing each other twice in the next couple of weeks the NFC North is not beyond Lions reach yet, but with the way this season is going I’d be happy just to get 7th seed. Beating Stafford and the Rams would be one hell of a statement going into the playoffs.

I love a snow game, I wonder if the Bengals are trying to gain an advantage over Buffalo in their predominately white uniforms, all you can see is helmets & socks.
