back in the nineties N/Korea was just a third world shithole run by a tinpot dictator with ideas above his station, they wanted to become a major power but lacked the resources to become one, then the clinton administration gave them two nuclear reactors and five billion dollars so they could develop an energy program but instead as we all know they made weapons and are now a major threat to the entire world. Obama had eight years to find a way of stopping them but opted for a string of useless sanctions and now Trump is faced with a lunatic hellbent on proving to the world what a big man he is by constantly threatening to nuke the states.

it was obama who allowed isis to fester and become a major force by sitting back and doing nothing while they slaughtered thousands of people and spread their doctrine of hate. It was only when the russians got involved that obama made a move and that was more to prevent Putin gaining influence in the area than stopping the islamic state. As soon as trump came to power he bombed the shit out of isis and now they have lost virtually all the territory they controlled.

i would have thought that the fact Trump is apparently friends with Putin could only be a good thing, after all does anybody really want another cold war?

and as for Jerusalem it was the Bush administration who agreed to recognise it as the Israeli capital but subsequent administrations have simply been kicking the can down the road, so to speak.

Seems that during the 2016 campaign a donor gave Trump $25m on condition he declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. So much for draining the Swamp. East Jerusalem is officially "occupied territory" according to the UN since the Israelis annexed it in 1967. No other country in the world has done what Trump did because they accept that resolution of the Jerusalem situation should be part of a negotiated settlement. Trump just stuck 2 fingers up at 1.5 billion muslims and sacrificed any leadership role the US could have in a peace process because they are now seen to have pre-judged this issue.

The US State Department has restricted travel for its Embassy staff in Israel and cautioned all US citizens to be careful. If one American dies as a result of Trumps actions will the Republicans seek the same sort of enquiry they had regarding Clinton and Benghazi?
