Two Mules For Sister Sara (1970)

Landmark western with Clint Eastwood in his element as the bounty hunter tasked with accompanying 'nun' Shirley MacLaine through the harsh Mexican wild. The tension is really cranked up throughout and features an excellent soundtrack from Ennio Morricone. 4/5

The Departed - 9/10.
First time I have seen this but very impressed.
Jack Nicholson was superb.

Pandorum 7/10. Watched this as it was on Netflix but didn't know what to expect. Surprisingly good sci fi movie starring Dennis Quaid . One or two weak areas in the storyline but overall well worth a watch. Having never heard of it before I was nicely surprised to find it had the look of a big movie. Surprising that it seems to have had little acclaim. Basically two crew members on a spaceship are unexpectedly awoken from hibernation but all is not as it first seems. Some good plot twists unfold.

The Hobbit, very good but a shame for commercial reasons they seem to have split into three films.

Bad Grandpa - 5/10 - Really hit and miss, some jokes stuck and made me lol, some of it was just cringey and stretched too far. Personally would have preferred another Jackass style film rather than stretching basically one joke out for an hour and 40 minutes

Lawless 8/10. Brilliant, somewhat violent and brutal movie based on the real life story of the Dubondant brothers during the moonshine wars of the 1920's. Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf star.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy Extended Edition, Whammy 9/10

Short Circuit (1986)

Was a nice surprise to see this on the other morning. Hadn't seen it for many years. Very funny. 4/5

Star Trek Into Darkness

just cranked up the surround and off I went.
Thouroghly enjoyable watch.
