Some cracking news this week- 3-time BDO World Champion Martin Adams has finally accepted an invitation from the PDC to take part in the late year Grand Slam Of Darts tournament. Could be a dark horse. As could BDO's Glen Durrant.

Yeah, after THEY were strongarmed by the Dutch darts body. Apparently the tulips & edam brigade had threatened to cut all ties with the BDO. Adams is, allegedly, not too happy to be taking part.

Weasel-faced Richie Burnett, 1995 BDO World Champion has received an 18-month ban for taking drugs. Whether this will lead to CRASH 'N' BURNETT headlines, IDK, but nothing else will.

I always remember that tourney as the first one I seriously followed, and it's mildly disconcerting to register how long ago that is.

Anyway, he says he was suffering with depression, and I can well believe it.
