RE: Olympics
Today was stepping up day for the GB team.
Oliver Townend held his nerve in the team Equestrian event.
Emily Campbell broke the GB and Commonwealth records to win silver.
And GB hockey goalkeeper Maddie Hinch stopped the Spanish players scoring in the shootout. Spain 0 - Hinch 4.

I was getting excited when I saw Hannah Martin's name on the GB hockey team sheet. Blush

RE: Olympics
Unbelievable performance from Karsten Warholm of Norway in the 400m hurdles final.
He completely obliterated his own World Record to win Gold in 45.94 seconds.

WOW Surprised

For me that has to be the performance of the entire Games so far.
Truly, truly mind boggling Surprised.

Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell take GOLD for GB in the Men’s 49erFX Sailing. Epic close finish decided by centimetres.

It is the first ever British success in this class.

RE: Olympics
More medal prospects to come this morning on the harbour as Sailing very much to the fore. Reigning Olympic Finn class champion Giles Scott is up shortly.

And its GOLD for Giles Scott in the Finn class sailing. A successful defence of his Olympic title but boy oh boy it was close.

RE: Olympics
The world record has been broken 3 times in the last 24 hours in the Womens Team Pursuit. Twice by Germany and once by the GB team.

The girls are obviously fitter, but the big improvement probably comes from the bike technology.

GB v Germany in the final at 9:20am

All those golds, and every one has something to do either water, bikes or horses.
