Why would it clash Rammy? They could release one in the summer and one towards winter and not affect either in box office sales. Hells teeth they could probably release both together and they would be major financial successes
I think the reason it's delayed is down to the filming schedule and actors being tied up with other projects from what I can gather.

Thor: The Dark World will be released on blu ray/dvd on 24th February.

Its nothing to do with the next Avengers film as even with the change of date it clashes with yet to be titled Marvel film rumoured to be Doctor Strange. There are many factors such the script being rewritten plus bare in mind other characters have been added like Wonder Woman and possibly more, there are even rumours that Batman vs Superman is being filmed back to back to with a Justice League film. Remember Man of Steel was delayed too but only by six month. I guess over time we'll find out the full story as to whats happened, theres still many great films coming out in the summer of 2015 anyway.
