Man Of Steel

An absolute humdinging reboot, of the Superman francise, Henry Cavill plays the superhero to perfection, Russell Crowe makes a superb Jor-El, Amy Adams is a very sexy Lois Lane, and Michael Shannon is terrific as General Zod. Love the way how the story goes backwards and forwards giving insights into Superman's making . The visuals and effects are great, but it's the action that's the winner, fast and frenetic it never lets up, with explosions and battles galore. A fabulous feast for the eyes and ears, make this a absolute must see. 10/10

Zero Dark Thirty 6/10. A bit of a mixed bag. Based on the actual events that culminated in the shooting of Bin Laden. It's not quite a movie and it's not quite a docu-drama. It's problems lie in the fact that it does not emotionally involve the viewer. The terrorist attacks such as London and the Marriot Hotel bombing have impact and are sudden and explosive but I just felt overall this lacked something.

RE: Last film you watched
Seen the Man of Steel film and wow is that good, lots of action and plenty of heart filled scenes and of course great action. Henry Cavill really does make a good Superman and its gonna be interesting to see him grow over the years hopefully into the role, Amy Adams was great as Lois Lane and Michael Shannon was great as Zod, Russell Crow as Jol El was great and he was born to play the role bare in mind his a very different take on Jol El but still a loving caring father, Antje Traue as Faora for me was out standing in her role and was pure evil and nearly stole the show from Shannon. Kevin Costner brilliant as Jonathan Kent along with Diane Lane who was brilliant as Martha Kent you believed that they could be his parents. There were also a good few actors that were in the tv series of Smallville in the film too. The origin story is told but it doesn't take up too much of the film and is told in flash back's in places and then moved back into the present. As for special effects wow it was stunning especially with action scenes and shows that Superman has come a long way from the Christopher Reeve Superman. There a few DC references that you either see or you hear the characters mention which was great, the film had a nice pace to it and didn't feel like 2 hours +. It is true that the ending is very controversial and its really unsuperman its a different time so things were gonna different, there parts of the film that had a lot in common with the Batman films and even the tv series Smallville. I really can't understand why some people put the film down by saying there was feeling in the film when the first 90 mins was like that, then people complaining that there was too much action which i thought was dumb as people complained that Superman Returns hardly had any and what do you expect Superman is a power house you would expect him to be kicking ass and finally two things no humour in it when there actually was and you didn't want it being like Superman 3 which had way too much and Henry Cavill not having the Charm of Christopher Reeve. Reeve will always be the Superman but people need to let go and except that its moved on. Any one expecting it to be like either like Superman 1 or comics will have to realise that its really different from both of them aside from of course the origin story, all in all i loved it and i can't wait for the sequel which is being fast tracked now Smile 10/10.

man of steel, a completely different interpretation of the superman story. this and smallville humanised the superman story. The script was good, the cast was good and snyder has finally done a decent film since 300. I like how the flash backs are done for example clark see a school bus then it goes back in time where his school bus goes off the bridge into the river. bradon roth looked similar to christopher reeve which is why he was choosen to play the part has superman returns was part of the reeve 4. cavill was excellent also has the physic like in the comics and one good thing is that they did not leave a clue for the sequel which marvel did with the iron man, thor, hulk etc. 2014 could see the sequel being released goyer, snyder and nolan are returning.

I would like to see a live action version of domesday (i know smallville did one but clark kent did not die then came back) and the ending would be superman "dies" but we seem in space looking down on earth and the next film is set like superman returns a few years later.

the best bit of superman 3 is clark v evil superman in the scrap yard.
