The Dodgers' BIG name pitching prospect (and, arguably, the BIGGEST prospect in all baseball) Julio Urías is making his MLB debut right now. Just finished his first inning, and it wasn't overly smooth. Two strikeouts, but he also gave up 3 runs. On the plus side, his curveball looks nasty as fuck.

The 2016 MLB All-Star game took place in sunny San Diego last night. The American League beat their National League counterparts 4-2 to secure bragging rights, AND home field advantage for whichever American League team wins the A.L. pennant and advances to the World Series. Kansas City's Eric Hosmer was named the game MVP.

Clayton Kershaw put on 60 day DL, gonna be difficult end to season for the Dodgers with banged up pitching rotation.

^ HUGE blow for the Dodgers. Could really fuck their run at the World Series now. Looks like the National League will be a straight fight out between Washington & the Cubs then.

RE: Baseball
Some big news this week. Firstly, Three-time MVP Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez has announced that this Friday will be his last game before retiring. Despite his chequered career, and his failed drugs tests, he WAS a truly elite hitter. One of the very best ever. That was swiftly followed up by the news that fellow Yankee 1B Mark Teixeira would be ending his career at the season's end. And, in a new development, the Texas Rangers 1B Prince Fielder, will be undergoing neck surgery for a second time, and if rumours are to be believed, will have to enter retirement. A press conference has been announced for tomorrow. Shame for his career to end at just 32.

Amazingly despite losing Kershaw, Dodgers now level with Giants at 64-49 in NL West

Going to be an interesting 3 way race for the title, I see Blue Jays current on top of division

After 67 years as the voice of the Dodgers, Vin Scully is hanging up his mic at age of 88. Good luck to whoever takes over as they have one hell of an act to follow
