Everyone's acting like it's the end of the world being bottom and probable relegation..

I've been through it several times, and being a yo-yo team has it's benefits every other year.
Relegation fight one year, promotion challenge the year after.

What you don't want are the fans turning on the players, like what happened on Sunday.

Sounds good in theory, but in practice the yo-yo teams do have to actually be challenging for promotion.

Ipswich and West Brom are stuck in mid-table at 11th and 12th respectively, Southampton are just above the relegation zone in 20th, Sheffield Utd and Norwich are in the relegation places at 22nd and 23rd. Over a quarter of the way through the season, those yo-yo teams will have to go some to challenge for promotion.

The team currently top of the Championship is Coventry, who got relegated from the Premier League 24-25 years ago, and 2nd is Middlesbrough, who haven't been in the Premier League for a while. The message the current Championship League table is giving to yo-yo clubs in the Premier League is that if you get relegated you'll be stuck in mid-table, or trying to avoid relegation into League 1 next season, and it could take you about 24-25 years to be challenging for promotion back into the Premier League.

It isn't so much being bottom that is the issue. It's the fact that such a disastrous season has been brewing for a while and mismanagement of the club at all levels has created a culture of failure and lack of any ambition.
Wolves have turned into a club that no manager would want to manage and no player would want to sign for.
Fosun have presided over constant decline for the last 5 seasons at least at every level of the club. What we see on the pitch is a by product of the owners mentality and incompetence. The atmosphere around the place is defeatist and toxic.
There are ways to get relegated. I accepted that fate even before the season started. My fear is that it won't stop there. We will not be a yo-yo club.
I fear a double or even triple relegation looming where we end up in League One or Two in very short order. The whole feel around the place leaves me deeply concerned. We are in a parlous state.

Ipswich ain't a yo yo club they took 20 + years to get back to the Premier League.

I would say actually it is bit refreshing to see the Premier not being dominated by the big six as it were with both Bournemouth and Sunderland separating some of those teams, What were the odds on either Bournemouth or Sunderland winning the title at start of the season?

I imagine winning a cup isn't going to please you Snooks or Wolves fans, but I imaging getting Fosun out is probably hard than the Man U fans getting the Glazers out. Yet I do think that some of the owners of clubs are trying to use the clubs they own as more like a business when it isn't and some aren't probably putting the money into clubs that they saying they are and I think Liverpool probably are the only PL club that are doing things on a sound financial structure of any sort.

Yet I do think that some of the owners of clubs are trying to use the clubs they own as more like a business when it isn't and some aren't probably putting the money into clubs that they saying they are and I think Liverpool probably are the only PL club that are doing things on a sound financial structure of any sort. Yet you only only have to look at the situation at Sheffield Wesnesday to see how badly run some clubs are outside of the PL.

What a calamitous cavalcade of catastrophic cack Wolves are. We are so unbelievably shite it's got to a point I'm finding it quite amusing .

I was at tonight's cup game. I'd rather focus on the positives - and there were plenty. They showed passion, fight, commitment to the cause. Against overwhelming odds, they tried and I believe they won back the respect and support of the fans.

We need all Wolves fans behind this team if we are to achieve our goal. The strength of the wolf is in the pack.
