Slow boards help!!!... check here

Tonight is the slowest i've ever known.

Same problem as Stan at the moment the forum has slowed to a crawl and l just had my first "error server unavailable" Message about ten mins ago 23:15.

I have it on good authority that the slow speeds are due to the popularity of Birdlime's London Bus routes game. Almost the entire internet community are stopping by to check it out.

Harrumph! My "Guess the number of rivets on the Dreadnought" game was creating such a huge problem that the mods deleted it - all 6,735 posts.

I'll monitor page loading times around the clock and see how it varies. At the moment pages are generally loading in less than a second, with the quickest being about a tenth of a second and the slowest being about 3 seconds. This page for example just took me 0.44 seconds to load.

I've just loaded 10 threads selected at random and a couple of them loaded slowly at 4.7 seconds and 5.8 seconds, but the other 8 loaded in an average of 1.24 seconds. I managed to load this thread in 1.01 seconds.

Just after 6pm today, clicking on "last post" in several of the latest Babestation General threads was taking between 5 and 22 seconds to load.
There seems a wide variation in speed accross the forum. Some load in under a second.
The delay is not due to lots of pics in the particular threads.

EDIT @ 7.47pm: It took 16 seconds to load this post at 7.46pm today.

That seems slow. I loaded 10 threads just now with an average load speed of 4.95 seconds. The slowest was 13.4 seconds and this thread was actually the quickest at 2.15 seconds. We have 1254 users online.

I've not had much of a problem with page load times. Most for me only take 2 or 3 seconds. OK, I may get the odd one now and then that takes 30 seconds or so, but at least it still loads, and I'm not getting any errors.

I just put it down, to possibly a plugin kicking in and or some other process running in the background at the time.

The forum is so slow today, may eggtimer has turned into a tortouise
