US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancellations)

No surprises but they totally fucked up Charlies Angels that could have been so good.Cougartown was shit after the first season so surprised it has a fourth on a new network. The amount of shows which get cancelled is so high it shows how much toilet they produce over there.

was going to start watching awake but i'll give it a miss now. i'm a bit annoyed about Alcatraz. i hate investing time in a show for it to be then cancelled after the first season! at least grimm isn't on the list!

Alcatraz was great & the scenes set in the 60's were expertly crafted.

Awake is the TV show that I look forward to the most each week.
Jason Isaacs played the lead role brilliantly. Gonna miss it very much.

Very pleased Person Of Interest hasn't been cancelled.

I did like Ringer, but thought it was dragged out, they should have made it a single series anyway, a second wouldn't have worked imo. For me, Breaking Bad was ruined because our channels didn't keep on top of it, but I liked it. I agree with sweetsugar007 about Charlie's Angels, it could have been so much better, but ended up a bit cheesy. Chuck was great and thankfully was given a last series to end the right way, hopefully Fringe will do the same. Eureka was good, but I think it went downhill after 3. Harry's Law was good, but like The Defenders, too much winning was going on...enjoyed it though. I got bored with Luck, so stopped watching...not surprised that it got binned, considering horses were getting put down due to being overworked. They fucked up Pan Am, so not a surprise to see that go, if they aren't bothered about showing an episode out of order, then you know it's done. The Secret Circle is a mistake imo, I read it had decent ratings (although declined after break), so I think that should have been given another chance. Terra Nova was supposedly getting shopped around, but the production costs were pretty high, so again, no surprise it's been binned.

I'm surprised and disappointed that Alcatraz is cancelled, it was a good show. I'm surprised, because there was a lot of talk that it was it going to be a must watch programme and now its already cancelled. I wish these tv networks would give these programmes a chance, they need time to prosper, I remember being told that Only Fools and Horses was not that big of a success in its first series and look at it now, you could argue its one of the best sitcoms ever created. The tv networks today should learn from this

agree, shows need to be given a chance, these days shows have to hit the ground running unfortunately

all the big cbs shows ncis, ncis la, the mentalist, criminal minds, person of interest all renewed in march.

eureka is in its 5th and final season they are going to end it properly unlike when they cancel shows without resolving issues.

body of proof and castle have been renewed. nikita has been renewed for a 3rd season i think nikita gets better season 1 was good season2 was better.

no surprise to see the secret circle on the canceled list. it started ok but it got boring.

Looking forward to the finale of Once upon a time tonight. Great show, really enjoyed it so far

its been renewed for a 2nd season on thursday 10th. i like all the different takes on the character's back stories. along with grimm and person of interest they have the best new shows on 2011/12. i dont think there has been a bad episode this season.
