Whilst all this turmoil is now affecting the Labour Party I wonder if those MP's who nominated Corbyn for the leadership last year even though they did not support him are rather regretting their decision.

Laura Keunssburg from the BBC is reporting that their seems to have been a deliberate plot by The Labour Leaders office to delay & water down the Labour Remain campaign. Sources suggest they have evidence of deliberate sabotage.

Meanwhile 170,000 have signed a petition supporting Corbyn.

I thought Benn had been organising a coup against Corbyn. In which case Corbyn had no realistic choice, as he could hardly keep Benn in the shadow cabinet if Benn was plotting to get rid of him.

Corbyn been wanting to get rid of benn since the Syria Debate when he completely wiped the floor with him

^ Not so much a plot as asking Corbyn to face up to the fact he's incapable in Benn's and other Shadow Cabinet members view of providing the leadership required. Agree though that in the circumstances (and Benn has said so himself) his sacking was inevitable.

So Labour MPs want to get rid of Corbyn because their supporters did not vote the way they wanted, that just shows the concept felt by many senior party figures for the the very people who put them there in the first place.

Yeah supposedly he tried to sack him in January but others in the Shadow cabinet said they would resign if he did
