Slow boards help!!!... check here

Aside from the on/off slowness of the forum, I'm finding that I often have to click on a link twice to select it.

Normally just click it and it loads, but the past week or so it sometimes only highlights the link, rather than loading it.

Thinking it might be something to do with the forum being slow, and me clicking too fast... maybe?

When I say link, I mean any link, either to a thread, video, PM or anything.

Unless it's my laptop, or Mobile Broadband...

I've found it painfully slow over the past two or three days.

This is the worst it's ever been for me. It has just taken me 20 mins, just to finally get this simple statement posted.

Unbelievable.

Strange.... Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding the forum speed OK at the moment, even quite slick to be honest. (I assure you I've not been drinking).

i find the forum mainly a reasonable speed just now with occasional sluggishness. maybe it would help more if people say what connection they are using, it might shed some light. but i don't think it's slow now except some few moments. maybe others can give an opinion.

Since about 10.15am this morning everything keeps freezing while accessing/loading new threads. Pressing the refresh button seems to help. It was ok earlier.
The only page that loads straight away is the View Today's Posts page

EDIT @ 5.47pm : I logged out for 5 hours and went shopping. It all seems ok now.

Very slow this evening for me, don't know about anybody else. Regularly timing out and having to refresh.

I don't think I've ever seen the forum as slow as it was between 6pm and 7pm this evening. It is still a bit slow now after it speeded up around 7.10pm
It was all ok this morning when I was on.
There were about 840 to 890 users whenever I checked this evening.
Older threads/posts seem slower to access than newer ones.

Something has changed on the forum.
I am having to use google chrome to access the forum today because it is incredibly slow when using firefox. I found it very slow using firefox yesterday evening and thought it might be faster this morning. I was wrong. Its very slow at present using firefox but ok with chrome.
Its not my internet connection, firefox is fine on other sites and I'm using the same computer for both firefox and chrome.
