5.16 Alex goes front & centre, I assume a regular was directing given that Supergirl is hardly in it. Props for a half-hearted bash at understanding grief. The problem is the ongoing thread about putting humanity into a kind of eternal delusion is something I suspect Dr Who would knock off in 2 episodes, not 22. Like S3, I'm expecting more than they seem to be bothered to deliver. OTOH, nice call-back about Psi, though clearly without the actress.

5.17 Another semi-mash-up episode, as the first half sees Lex giving us some of the BTS stuff from the last few episodes, such as setting Eve up to kill Jonathan (and I thought it was just an excuse not to have to bring Dean Cain back again).
Then the second half has even more convolutions as Kara lets Lena lose her rag again and offers no counter-arguments at all. But we do finally see that other Leviathan members have cool powers (since they've basically done bog all for weeks), and we get an entirely random return for M'ghan. Or Duchess as we might call her.

5.18 So Lena finally realises her stupid plan is stupid, and that Lex knew it ages back and had been stringing her on. Whilst Rama Khan brings the house down for the DEO, and Alex seems to be being set up to be a new Guardian (zzz).

I'm bemused to think there's only one episode left - how should it have played out if they had finished the requisite episodes? Maybe I should ask that after I've seen this...

5.19 So Lena and Kara FINALLY clear the air, and Kara manages to give one of her speeches to stop Obsidian; whilst Brainy brings down Leviathan, at great cost. But Lex blah blah after all.

Some bits of this series have been very good. A lot of bits haven't been.
