I dont think that will happen to be honest. even the irish goverment says wont happen what we will do is keep the Common Travel Area which has been in place and just add a customs area to it so means no tarriffs or customs checks across the border so they can go free thru border and trade. wont be difficult to do because 1billion a week in goods and services go thru the border and we already have the Common travel area

Put it this way if we cant get a deal with the irish we got no fucking chance doing deals with any other country

Problem with the NI border is that unless you have effective immigration controls any EU national could fly to the Republic and the just saunter across into NI. It was said by Remain in the campaign you either need a proper border or you'd have to subject everyone coming in from NI to the mainland to immigration controls.

yeah they could get as far as NI but guessing thats as far as they would get because we are an island and to get from NI to the mainland would have to go thru passport control

its 1 of the main reasons i voted leave.

My point being that, with the UK no longer going to be in the EU, and the Tories in power at Westminster, leaving has only increased the risk of the UK being signed up to TTIP.

true but at least the public will be aware of it because labour wont allow the cons to whitewash over it like the eu commission was allowing.

also the cons would suddenly become accountable for the ttip., before brexit they could potentially say it was an eu decision.
this way they cant hide behind the eu and would be accountable to joe public.. especially if it started costing jobs the same way it did in the u.s.

accountability does make politicians more wary, which is a good thing.
