Then at half time Souness says that he thinks Sterling was going down before he got there & so the presenter asks

"does that mean it's a dive?"

"No i just think that sometimes your momentum takes you down"

Oh fuck off ! Sterling is one of the fastest players in football and i have never seen his momentum take him down when he's running 50 plus yards down the pitch & there isnt anyone near him

^ Exactly this. Usual shite. Kane, Maddison, Sterling always get excuses made. It's a clear dive, Lloris pulls his hand away, ZERO contact, dive, 2nd yellow, get off the fucking pitch.

And Chris Hughton has just said about Sterling's dive that there is no contact there but there "could have been". What is he smoking ? Complete bullshit excuse.

About time they are coming down hard on this kind of corruption, it's only a few decades too late

Would not be at all surprised if they could bring fresh charges against Platini and maybe even Blatter & lengthen their jail time

Should PSG be thrown out of the CL while they have this corruption charge levelled at their chairman? do we know the identity of the UEFA member who was charged?

Unfortunately VAR is just another Premier League referee making a decision and as we all know the referees are shockingly bad, ZERO consistency from one game to the next. They need to sit down and look over hours of incidents and decisions and discuss them at length so they can come to some sort of consensus on what is and isn't a foul/red card/yellow card etc. Until that happens, whether there is VAR or no VAR, the standard of refereeing will remain complete dog shit
