Absolutely correct Bigguy! He got away with it because he's rich and famous, can afford the best lawyers and to pay his Accrington Stanley bitches to take the rap for him if obviously wildly inaccurate rumours are to be believedWink

As for Joey Barton, despite him being an ex-City scouser, I actually like something about him insofar as he tells it like he honestly believes it and is never bland and always worth a read; being boring is the worst crime that anyone going before the cameras can ever be; when Rooney swears in front of the camera people from all walks of life discuss it whether it was right or wrong; when Alan Shearer or Ray Wilkins talk people go to sleep - go figure!

Jeez...Maybe i should move this to the UFC thread?Where we can continue this in the cage lindor Wink

I don't doubt that UFC is a very disciplined sport, Ground! But it will never sell newspapers or be discussed in the pubs, clubs, workplaces, schools, betting shops etc etc like football will because it will never enjoy the widespread appeal and spotlight that football - and thus footballers - do.

It was the bit where you played the NOT IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN card that I began to wonder if it was actually the fact that Rooney uttered the F-word that so bothered you and upset you and shocked you, or was it what had gone on just seconds prior to that, ie the goal that completed a crucial turn-around from being 2-0 down to being 3-2 up?

Go on Ground, drop the Mary Whitehouse routine mate, it doesn't suit you, be honest and admit it was the fact that Rooney had just scored that was the really offensive and sore point. I would certainly be man enough to admit it freely if it was ever Steven Gerrard who had done what Rooney did.

was'nt oj found not guilty as well Huh just saying.

What's he got to do with Steven Gerrard?? Wink

Come on Master, you are NOT that thick or naiive! You know exactly what Malicious is implyingWink By the way, whilst I'm here, could we please have an updated Master Yodalglish Premiership table as I've not seen an updated version in any newspaper or even on here for a few weeks. You know, the one where the Premiership only starts once Dalglish is the manager of Liverpool, and where that 19th Anfield title was within sniffing distance a few weeks agolaugh And don't forget to award 20 points for the win against UnitedWink

It's all gone a bit quiet on the Kenny front hasn't it? Even John W Henry seems to be revising his original opinion it'd seem...

Absolutely right Gaz! Jamie Carragher would be another very good addition to the Sky Sports team when he retires as he spoke more sense and commanded more attention when he briefly appeared on Soccer Saturday earlier this season than most of the others combined. The likes of Neville and Carragher may be loved and loathed in equal measure either side of the East Lancs Road but both have been there, done it and got the T-shirt, and know more about today's game than yesterday's bores such as Wilkins, Gareth Southgate and Alan Shearer.

RE: Football Banter
It didn't upset or shock me lol I saw what he did the next day on SSN.The lad's been frustrated and in a bad mood since fergie wouldn't let him leave and made him apologise for puting in a transfer request.Still no excuse to take it out on the cameraman.

My reaction was Who the fuck does he think he is that he can do that to someone just doing their job and get away with it? For your records lindor: THIS IS WHAT PISSED ME OFF. Rolleyes

If it wasn't for the cameraman the only people that would see the goals are in the ground.

Everyone has a role model or someone they look up to or idolise mate.Kids and adults.I know u said you've never been influenced by a footballer or famous person in your life but your in the minority. The fact is that most people have been.Especially kids and i think that Rooney sets a bad example for them.

Only if they provide captions over his commentary. When he was on Soccer Saturday I failed to understand what he was saying as it was all high pitched accent. Gary Neville is another footballer that I find hard to understand.

What makes you think that lindor? We've lost 2 league games since the middle of January so i wouldnt exactly say it's all gone quiet on Kenny. Another thing, I wasnt aware that you were tuned in to how John W Henrys thinks. You certainly kept that one quiet. Any news on potential transfer deals for us while you're at it?? Wink

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

the worst pundits or presenters are jamie reknapp, adrian chiles, gareth southgate, andy townsend, hansen, shearer, vaughn (cricket), hussain(cricket). matt smith on itv4 (europa league and ipl) does a better job than adrian chiles.

joey barton abit delusional thinking he is "the best english midfielder", jack whilshere has more talent is little toe on his left foot than joey barton has.

Without a shadow of doubt mate. Rooney was caught shagging a granny prostitute in his younger days. Did he learn his lesson and change?? No. A few years later he gets caught cheating on his pregnant wife with another pair of hookers. On the pitch he's a sulker and a whinger when things dont go his way. He loses the plot and becomes a liability. He smokes and drinks heavily. He was caught on camera pissing up against the wall of building after leaving a nightclub last summer. He attacked the England supporters on camera in South Africa last summer when they were perfectly entitled to boo an inept performance against the 'mighty' Algeria. As one of his own man utd fans regularly states on here...he's intellectually challenged i.e A THICK ©UNT. There is no doubting the guys ability on the pitch. When he's on song he's gifted. But as a role model to kids and as a human being, Wayne Rooney is the lowest of the low.

And before i'm accused of bias, i'm not saying this with my Liverpool FC hat on. I'm saying it as as a football fan. I have no problem saying that Ryan Giggs is the polar opposite to him and is everything a professional footballer should aspire to be both on and off the pitch.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

RE: Football Banter
But master yoda if you suffered the abuse & public humiliation etc that he has other the years would you not snap every now and again?

When somebody is under the amount of pressure some of these players are under its inevatible that they're gonna snap its just the fact the every time he does it happens in the public eye.

And are some of you telling me you've never done some of the things he's done?
