Managing expectations will be her toughest challenge for the foreseeable future. While it would be nice to suppose that she could make lightning strike twice at some point, it ought to be enough at this stage to simply be glad it struck once, and accept she's only a teenager yet.

World number 13 Cameron Norrie is through to the second round of the Paris Masters but both Dan Evans and Andy Murray were knocked out in 3 sets.

Fritz stopped Norrie-Mania in its tracks, and he's missing out on that final 8 ATP thing too, as Hurkacz took the final spot (though he'll still go as back-up for if someone drops out).

Norrie did make the ATP thing when 2 guys withdrew, but so far he's lost to Ruud and Djokovic.

The Australian Open will be vaxxers only.

The end of season ATP World Tour Finals victor is Alexander Zverev after a 6-4 6-4 win over Danil Medvedev in the final.

In the doubles Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram lost out in their final in straight sets.

GB have started well in the ATP Cup event in Sydney beating Germany 2-1.
Dan Evans trounced Jan Lennard-Struff 6-2 6-1. Alexander Zverev restored parity by beating Cameron Norrie 7-6 (7-2) 6-1.
The British duo of Dan Evans and Jamie Murray won the doubles decider against Krawietz and Zverev 6-3 6-4.

Next group match is against Canada.
