Babestation on Freeview channel 33

with partyland i think it was more to do with the channels location, also (i'm not sure on this). also there's gonna be an interest in the start of any channel like this by regulatory bodies and the people that like to complain, so it doesn't matter what went on before.

the broadcaster are just playing it safe until the dust settles, cos one wrong move whilst all eyes are watching will get them taken off air. i'd prefer a month or so of slightly less raunchyness then back to normal than getting taken off air..... the people that like to complain will prob only watch for a little while and any complaints then will be looked at and offcom will look and say they're behaving and move on.

offcom are prob a bit tight on freeview as there's a much bigger audience as more people have freeview than sky, plus its been on sky for a while, so people are used to it.

the rules mentioned are imposed by the broadcaster so they don't give any moaner a reason to complain to offcom, like i said, so it looks like they're towing the line.

people had to wait for PG to get raunchy, and that was a few months, am sure babestation will ease into it alot quicker, even from the first night to the last coupla nights has seen a big change i think.

simply put, better a channel plays nicey nice for a bit til the attentnion from the busybodies wane and then get back to business than getting fined or taken off. i know i would rather that. plus as i have said, i've enjoyed watching the girls i like even with the restrictions that are in place at the moment. the girls are still making it hot even when restricted. i enjoy watching camilla, so what if i don't get to see her in just a thong some of the night. i can cope with it and she still puts on an amazing show no matter what.

If so then the channel is making a free decision to show exactly what it wants, in which case there is no censorship

Are people seeing programme details for Babestation in their EPG yet? So far I just have the channel.

I think that the content level has been set by the producers of the show to be somewhat below the limits that ofcom would allow.
As with any new channel, the initial audience might be small because people dont know it has started. The size of the audience will then grow until a plateau is reached of regular viewers. Later it might then start to tail off as the novelty value falls. This is when the producers can up the level of the program to the ofcom limits. I guess this was what happened with PartyGirls. It took 3 months from start to get to what it finally became.
I watched some of Partyland channel 50 last night. I've not seen it at all in the last 4 weeks but it seemed identical to what it was when it started just over 8 weeks ago.
I would expect there will be no change to channel 33 until some time after channel 50 changes.
Babestation does one thing much better than Partyland. It does not use the split screen.
The little box, that appears in top right corner with the girl(s) in, is far less annoying than a split screen.
Also, Babestation does not seem to be plagued with as many "feet" callers as Partyland.

One of my PVRs has the program details, the other doesn't. They are different makes.

Yes. I usually look at tvalways just after 9pm and so far the girls you see on there stay on for the 12am show.

Because it was a new channel number - and many people automatically look at new channels to find out what kind of type of channels they are exactly.

Yes, I’d thought of that, but it still doesn’t make sense, IMO, for the reasons stated in my previous post. Presumably, however, the broadcaster knows its business, and if it has experienced practical benefit from such actions, fair enough.

I remain unconvinced, but maybe I‘m just an incorrigible cynic!
