RE: Dr Who
Great, emotional episode with wonderful performances by the three leads; especially Karen Gillan and Tony Curran.

The monster appeared to be only there as a storyline to bring the group together. However, even that part was in keeping with the feel of the episode in that it was physically hurt & abandoned which had parallels with Vincent who was in mental torment & alone.

In my view 10/10

RE: Dr Who
First time I've really shed a few tears during the new series. Tonight's had it all - twisting storyline, continuity from the previous episodes, heartbreak and surprise.

I think they captured perfectly how brilliant, but yet deeply troubled a person Vincent Van Gogh was.

One of the best stories of the new Who, as good as the episodes with Silurians, Daleks and Weeping Angels. Tony Curran the perfect choice to play Van Gogh and a funny slot from Bill Nighy too! Excellent. Smile

Couldn't agree more, one of the best episodes of the new series. Emotional, thought provoking stuff, very well written and acted.
Tony Curran was fantastic as Van Gogh, a great actor...should be on screen a lot more!

Ketchup and mustard Big Grin lol.

RE: Dr Who
I've not seen much of the last three episodes, saw some of tonight's finale but didn't really get it - but that was only because I've not watched it much over the last few weeks. I'll have to wait for the dvd set but it will be ready soon. Enjoyed the series overall, a few weak episodes, but a reasonably good start for Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor. Smile
