Paula Badosa of Spain has clinched the ladies Indian Wells title after a 7-6 (7-5) 2-6 7-6 (7-2) triumph over Victoria Azarenka.

Soon to start is the mens final which features Cameron Norrie trying to become the first ever Briton to win this particular event.

It might be a huge ask to see him play well enough to reach the end of tour championships in Turin in November as he is up to 16th in th world after his success in California.

Norrie won in Vienna beating Marton Fucsovics 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 in round one.

Elsewhere Emma Raducanu claimed her first match win since Flushing Meadows after overcoming Polona Hercog 4-6 7-5 6-1 in the first round of the Transylvania Open.
