Looking like a Robertson v Trump final to me

RE: The Masters
Barry Hawkins swept aside an out of sorts Mark Selby 6-1.

This means we have an all left handed semi final line up which is very rare.

Ronnie was strangely positive and complimentary during the interval in Selby's match. Perhaps Maguire should gnash his teeth even more when a clearly hopeless Selby was still able to get the drop on him? Wink

RE: The Masters
Another classic this afternoon; Williams led 4-1 and 5-3 but then got distracted by a fly of some description, and Robertson rallied to reach a decider. Well, it kicked off there, Williams knocked in the match ball red but hadn't the position for the black, and didn't try just hitting it to safety in baulk. Needing 2 snookers and with the black in the mouth of a pocket, Robertson held on by his fingertips and eventually Williams hit a green instead of swerving round it. Robbo won by 2 points, and had tears in his eyes when talking to Rob Walker (mind you, who wouldn't?)

RE: The Masters
Mark Selby is apparently having issues with his mental health judging by a Twitter reaction to his Masters exit. He is getting the support he needs for it which is good news. All the best to him, I am still engaged in a mental health battle of my own. I feel for him.
Hang in there Mark.

RE: The Masters
Barry Hawkins showed real character to fight back from 5-4 down to beat Judd Trump 6-5.
An excellent match of ebbs and flows from start to finish.

So it is a Robertson v Hawkins final.

RE: The Masters
Trump also showed character to win 3 in a row from 2-4 down to lead 5-4. But he lost a few scrappy frames he should have won, and the longer it went on, the more likely it seemed that Hawkins would take it. And so he did.

Unless he bores Robertson into a coma, he might come up short tonight though #fingerscrossed

How snooker players get their nicknames is a mystery to me, the jester from Leicester ? Mark Selby doesn't make me laugh, and why is Shaun Murphy the Magician ? Is it because he disappears after the first round ?
