Everton hardly a career move for Ron Koeman.

Swap a successful, well run, modern club with great facilities, academy and a nice climate and part of the country for a has-been club in terminal decline, situated in a war zone?

im guessing rashford has got a contract extension

I wouldn't ask for a raise if I'm already getting £15000 a week, I wouldn't need a raise ever again. Wink Rolleyes

His request is misguided. Just like all of his colleagues getting paid the king's ransom's they pick up. I'm talking about the whole of the pay structure for everyone at the top levels at the game - it is a ridiculous amount of money to be paid each week.

Like I said, it's the way it is now, sadly. Its too far down the line to change.

^ Let me know how that works out. I've got 2 preplanned answers
1. He's a great team member and Burnley should be glad to have his commitment next session.
or 2. Never wanted him in the 1st place. He's a total headbanger he's far more suited to Rangers Rolleyes

Sunderland seem to be the modern day version of Coventry. Never finish out if the bottom 5 yet always avoid relegation. They are beginning to outstay their welcome in the premier league.

^^ true, Wigan were a similar story in the top flight for many seasons too. Their luck ran out eventually, and Aston Villa flirted with it for the last five years before the inevitable happened this season, so it's probably only a matter of time before Sunderland have the same fate.

Sunderland have Sam Allardyce though and that could be key.
Although playing devils advocate maybe he has to suffer the drop one year too.

Hmmmmm Wink.

I was simply stating the logical outcome of staying so close to danger for so long - that is eventually luck runs out and you get burned, regardless of the manager.

Allardyce is a manager who is adept at survival in the premier league, yes. But often the fate is out of the manager's hands, as seen in the past when owners of football clubs have been more culpable than the guy in charge of the team.

I bet if the clubs were forced to cap their wage bills, I bet they wouldn't have to deal with the requests like £150,000 a week Tongue It is about time the FA and the Premier League got tough on this.
