I don't think 40 points will be enough for survival - at least 42 or 43 might be a better target to aim for.

Wolves were much the better side today and fully deserved their win Villa were absolute rubbish we are back in the dogfight now and I dont feel confident about them staying up Houllier has to go he hasn't endeared himself to the fans and the situation isn't going to improve he may even be gone by the time they play again what are the chances of the Villa/blues derby being played in the Championship next year ?

Joking aside, I can sympathise about how heartbreaking and frustrating it must be for Villa fans at the moment. Houllier's really looking like he's lost the plot. I know there's injury problems, but there didn't seem to be any spark from Villa today.

I hope all the midland teams can stay up, I want the derby victories again next season.

also wolves are the only side from the midlands to beat the "big boys". you alot need wolverine then you tear your opposition to pieces

It's rather strange, us Wolves fans coming on rather upbeat and yet we're still in the relegation spot..

I would like to see all the midlands teams stay up too (even the Blues) unfortunately though it looks like at least one is going to go and it looks like its going to go to the last day for all of them having said that Wolves have been very unlucky in a lot of games this year they should really have been safe by now

John Terry's officially been permantly reinstated as England Captain*
Capello's handling of the captaincy has been an absolute shambles

1) JT shouldn't have been stripped of it in the first place
2) Ferdinand shouldn't have replaced him because he's not guarenteed to be fit for half the games, let alone all, so Gerrard should've instead
3) Despite this, it's harsh to now strip Rio of the captaincy. Capello knew of the risks of appointing him captain so should've stuck by his decision
4) Altough I'm happy to see Terry back as captain, reinstating him again sees Capello go back on his own decision, making him look like an even bigger pillock, so, again, Gerrard should've took over naturally from vice-captain
