I get that he is dedicated and been with Liverpool all his career but I just don't understand all the media furore over Steven Gerrard playing his last game for his team. Better players than him have not had the same media attention that he has had when they have had to move on to pastures new.

such as who though? im no liverpool fan i can't stand them tbh but he has been a great player for them for over 15 years

yeah i know what you mean but thought people like giggs scholes have done the same thing ie been at same club their entire career but it was different as United were winning titles and going high into the Champions league every season liverpool were not

I still maintain if Gerrards cousin hadnt have died at Hillsborough he would have left when chelsea had come in for him that time but in the end he couldnt leave without being pushed
