Finally, Rooney is on the winning team at Celtic Park

Scotland were fucking hopeless no better than a midtable Championship team at best!!!

I thought it was a typical England V Scotland game myself and Scotland should be pleased with their performance kept us on our toes and thinking and the way they played there is no reason why they can't get through to Paris, which I think is achievable if they keep playing the way they have been (and the same goes for Wales). Roy got his tactics right last night too.

You only beat Scotland don't get too carried away the other teams you have beat, Estonia, San Marino, Slovenia..don't think you can say if you have impoved or not by playing teams like that.

No point in being carried away. We played well against Scotland and I have to say its an overall improvement from the World Cup. Have been impressed especially with Nathaniel Clyne and Luke Shaw but the opposition we have played lately has been 2nd tier(with respect to those teams). I still think the team would come unstuck against the top teams but I feel we are moving slowly in the right direction. The trouble we have is Rooney is the only true world class player(intermittently)in the squad and when he has a bad game there is no one else with the ability to lift the squad. Look at Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France and Spain; they each have several players who can perform at the top level consistently.

Roy Hodgson issues an apology to the IRA :

FIFA whistle blower stands by her original allegations. FIFA order Swiss police investigation, I think FIFA are heading for meltdown!! But if they had been more open with the original findings however uncomfortable reading it was, from the start to finish I think a lot of the hassle now could have been avoided.
Whether if that report will ever see the light of day is now probably open to question.
FIFA has only itself to blame, but I think with both Russia and Qatar there will always be people wondering what DID exactly happen & wonder if we will see teams qualifying and then pulling out for various reasons. Both have their own problems, but ultimately the biggest insult of all has been to clear both Russia and Qatar and blame US and the FA really rankles with me.
Mr Blatter, if you wonder why the UK media scrutinises FIFA so much let me tell you it's because you promised us a fair vote on our bid and it didn't happen and you have the audacity to blame us for the whole catastrophe.
We can no longer trust the way you are running the whole game and confidence in FIFA is eroding fast and the beautiful game as we know it, is slowly being destroyed by your presidency.

Is it the same band that follows the cricket team around?
