Talamasca : The Secret Order. Ep1.

A good start imo. I'm watching episode 2 later today, I think it's intriguing. It's set in Anne Rice's immortal universe, so vampires, witches etc, the Talamasca investigate the paranormal. I can't really recommend it off the one episode, because they could fuck it up two or three in, but has potential, at the moment.

101 East - Rapa Nui's New Dream
How the Island formerly known as Easter Island has faced huge pressures over the years, but covid took away the tourists for a while, forcing them to start growing more of their own grub, and reconnecting with each other.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
Larry David has a new book out based on CYE, and he and Seth did some comedy which I suspect the latter was happier with.

The Footage Detectives
Following on their recent chat to Francis Rossi, this week they had the great Eddy Grant in the studio too.

Arena - Art & Desire: The Journey or The Memories of a Self-Confessed Surrealist
George Melly made a fairly short profile in 1978, in which he manages to meet The Stranglers, though no conversation transpires (or it was cut). When planning to visit the home of some former surrealist, he is bemused to find a fire occurred the day before filming. It's impressive enough he seemed to have met actual legends like Salvador Dali.

9.5 "Poldark Country" this week, i.e. Cornwall. Special Cornish bagpipes, an old tin mine, scything, and the amusing comment that Telegraph literally means "far-write" (as opposed to far right, eh newspaper fans?).
