Yeah scraping to the semi final where we lost on pens to the eventual winners Germany . the press had it in for robson. robson wouldnt have done anything in 94 as the england squad was getting older by then with most of the team needed rebuilding

mind you graham taylor was unlucky the dutch game where Koeman should have been off 5 mins before he scored a wonderful freekick althought he had brought it on himself in euro 92 when he took lineker off 1 goal shy of the all time scoring record and many in the media never forgave him for that

mind you i still maintain losing out in 94 helped us as it gave england the kick up the backside it needed and apart from the 2008 euros we havent failed to qualify for another tournament since

i still got a feeling we will get to least to the quarters in Brazil dont know just got a feeling Stevie g got an instanbul type match left in him

Are the FA and SFA Cup Finals usually on same day these days?

the FA cup final and the game between barca and athletico kick off at the same time, since when are big la liga games played at 5pm on a saturday?

Yeah FA cup is on in the evening now think its about a 5 - 5:30 kickoff

its been like that for the last few years wish they would put it back to a 3pm Kickoff

Still will get to watch the SFA one as its on BBC scotland so can watch it on Channel 951 on sky Think i will be a plastic Arab for the day

The winner of tomorrow's FA Cup final will be the first to recieve the brand new cup



It looks the same but is made with thicker silver so it stands up to more abuse during celebrations. (still not recommended to drop it under the wheels of a bus though.)

bet it will happen though someone drops it under the tour bus!!

For decades, certainly as long as I was watching, until the SFA decided they would get more attention if they held it another week - first time in 2004 or 2005, I think. They were hoist by their own petard last year when UEFA told them not to hold it on the same day as the Europa League final, and it went to Sunday...
