short of hacking into ofcoms files how can i prove it numnuts, i still think someone from cellcast did but i cant prove it.

by the way i dont present this as fact so dont be thinking about no slander related issues their my good man.

as long as people know you're talking rubbish and don't have anything to back it up

we wouldn't want people reading to believe it

am sure no one else does beilive it , so you can kill the defensive act .

People can make up their own mind, they don't need me to tell them what to think.

They can just go off of the evidence. The evidence as I see it is that you guys had a reputation for being tame whilst your competitors got all the plaudits. Then, out of the blue, a whole batch of complaints gets submitted to OfCom concerning your competitors shows that spanned a couple of months. It's highly dubious that such a batch of complaints was submitted by a member of the public. At the same time that your competitors gets wacked onto the back foot, you guys up your game and become less tame then you've ever been AND you launch a pay-per-view softcore porn channel. Add to the mix the changes in goverment and it seriously looks like you're both scuppering the competition and testing the waters of the new regime to see what they now find acceptable, but with your competitors shows rather than your own.

Whether you did or didn't, it damn well looks like you did.

I notice in all of this discussion that you haven't once said 'it wasn't us'. Suprising really, considering how the situation looks and how easy it is for you to deny it.

If I were in your position and I hadn't grassed up the competition, I would be going out of my way to tell my potential customers that, although it looks fishy, Babestation had nothing to do with the recent batch of OfCom complaints and the changes made to your broadcasts are entirely coincidental.

...and I would have done it the moment those complaints became public.

bottom line is, noone has accused cellcast of anything we have just suggested we think it happened. yet you seem rather tetchy about it babestation.

the evidence is the evidence, is all.

if you have nothing to hide then dont worry about it and laugh it off.

It's called 'circumstancial evidence'.

Whilst it might not be the 'smoking gun', it has got people convicted in the past.

and right now, it's pointing it's finger squarely in your direction.


While I'm here, i'll add some more circumstancial evidence, in the form of a question...why didn't you guys join up with the rest of the broadcasters to fight OfCom's reclassification attempt?

The inference there is that you don't want to do that becuase you want to use OfCom as a stick to beat your competition up with.

Like I said, it's all circumstancial, but its there none the less. Methinks if you're bothered about how this makes you look, then you better put out a statement denying it.

again, no evidence.. just pure speculation

we have not reported anyone, and it wouldn't be in our (or any other channels) interest to bring attention to the already closely watched channels

you've said yourself we have a reputation for being tamer, which justifies why we may have not had so many complaints

and perhaps the timing was more inline with the fact that we are expanding onto freeview, causing the competitors to push the boundaries further than they would before *
