Was listening to Radio 5's world cup memories of Mexico 1986.
That brought back many memories of the England players surrounding the referee after the Hand of god' goal was allowed to stand.
At least in the late Sir Bobby Robson we had a quality manager in charge and I still think that if he had stayed in charge after Italia 90 we would have gone to the USA in '94. And of course we've never matched that Italia 90 semi final place since.

Nice rose tinted spectacles you are wearing there too . World Cup 90 wasn't a great tournament for us with us scraping through most of the games. At the time Robson wasn't popular with the media and got a lot of stick in the tabloids.
