I think most of us saw that coming in this episode - shame coz the interaction between John Wesley Shipp and Amanda Pays made me smile.

Didn't rate Katie Cassidy much in Arrow but OMG as Black Siren she's hot!

I thought it was great touch between John Welsey Shipp and Amanda Pays especially as he played Barry Allen and her playing Tina Mcgree in the 90's Flash series. A very under rated series.

It's been confirmed that Actor Tom Cavanagh will be a season regular for season 3.

That's fantastic news, Flash without Wells just wouldn't be as good.

The season finale wraps things up we now know the man in the iron mask is Jay Garrick a version of Henry Allen from Earth-3, there was a clue a couple Ep's ago with Henry Allen saying his mums madien name was Garrick but there were clues in earlier Ep's. Barry finally beats Zoom but now changes the timeline. The four flash comic stories were:

Flashpoint, with Barry saving his mother.

Crisis On Infinite Earth, Barry Allens: death: the other Barry sacrifices himself to stop Zoom, in the comic story Barry also sacrifices his self to save the universe.

The Black Flash, the time wraiths go after Hunter Zolomon/Zoom when they start touching him he starts changing not only his face but you notice the symbol on his chest turns white with a red Flash tick along with the flash ticks on his mask turn red.
In the comics the black flash goes after speedsters who are near death and would take them into the speed force. He first appeared in the Wally West run of the comics, he first appeared in Flash Vol 2 issue 138 in June 1998 and was created by Mark Miller, Grant Morrison and Ron Wagner, the graphic novel is available and is well worth reading.

The 4th story is with Hunter Zolomon from a Flash comics Vol 2 issue 197 June 2003 and was created by Geoff Johns and Scott Kolins, he appeared earlier on the Flash run of the comics but only as Hunter Zolomon. The comic version of him is not quite the same as the tv version his father was the same way but it's not how he become Zoom. Zolomon actually worked with the FBI and was friends the Flash aka Wally West he losses his ability to walk and asks Wally West to change the timeline he says no and gets into a accident causing him to get powers like the Flash but his powers don't work the same way.
He then kills people close to Wally namely his unborn kids to make him a better hero, similar to how Zoom in the tv series kills people close to Barry namely his dad so he' be more like him. Again well worh reading the Zoom stories in the comics.

Now Jay Garrick is part of DC Universe and we will see him again.

Now we have the Flashpoint storyline for season 3 but don't expect it to be exactly the same as the comics as this involved Batman, Cyborg, Aquaman and Wonder Woman.

There were two film references one regarding thr transformers movies Cisco was right about them and the other film was Lord of the Rings.
