Machado won the NPP on the basis of promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela.

Trump is the ultimate disrespector of democracy both home and abroad in every shape and form.
To award him the NPP given so many aspects of his conduct would be really quite appalling.

And yet they seem to be 2 peas from the same pod...

Standard Trump operating procedure.

Blame Biden or the Democrats for as much as possible. If that doesn't work blame the EU.
If that doesn't work blame China.
If that doesn't work blame immigrants.
If that doesn't work blame pretty much anyone that is perceived disloyal to his warped agenda.

Meanwhile take the credit for everything under the sun even when he has nothing to do with it so he can claim the Nobel Peace Prize or some other international honour for which which he is the least worthy candidate in living memory.

Nope, not remotely peaceful, the large scale mass murder may have stopped, but killings are still ongoing, both by Israel who as soon as the hostages were returned went straight back to their shoot first tactics (they'll use any bullshit excuse to kill Palestinians, 67,000, remember) and Hamas who have apparently killed people who were said to have aided Israel. So, peace, yeah okay, give it a month and we'll see if this deal was anything more than a con job by Trump and Netanyahu. There may be too much hate for any real peace to happen
