Just seen the news that former BBC weatherman Ian McCaskill has died aged 78 on saturday

I remember Rory Bremner ruefully said that Ian was one of his most popular voices; he even did a sit-down-piano version of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life in the voice of Ian.

A much-loved weather-presenting icon. Another sad loss to dementia.
