RIP Dan Wheldon

Sad news that British driver Dan Wheldon was killed today at the Las Vegas Motorsport Raceway in a 15 car pile up.
Twice winning the Indy 500, he was only back for the last race off the season for the $5 million possible prize money so that he could try to secure a fulltime drive for next year, after not having one this year.

Horrible crash as it was live on tv, I hoped never to see another death live on tv after the Senna crash in 94, but it happened again today.

I've never really been a fan of this kind of sport but I have allways had a huge amount respect for anybody who does or takes part in it. If their is any shred of comfort to come away from this is that he died doing something that he loved. Yes just to echoe the sentiments also RIP Dan Wheldon. A tragic loss.
