RE: RIP Derek Fowlds
Desperately sad day with this news!! An integral part of the greatest British comedy series in history - Yes Minister/Prime Minister! May not be remembered in the same way that Paul Eddington and Sir Nigel Hawthorne are/or will remain - (genius actors both) - but that is somewhat unfair, as, in many ways, the iconic series' success was down to him and the lines he delivered!! 'You take his key away from him' when pressing the PM to do his own 'dirty work' in 'The Key' episode or, 'nobody cares who runs the country, as long as she's got 'big tits' Incredible!! :biglaugh
For once, a reason to re run all the original episodes, in place of the disgraceful daytime schedule! Bet they won't though!! Despite doing just that a few short years ago, in the afternoons!, and calling it a chance to see BBC programmes from another era (ironically vastly superior to today) when the truth is, it was the start of a long road - to today and - no doubt - the future, of filling the time slots with populist output!
