Great Player and gone far to soon

A sad day. He was one of a small group of players who paved the way for the vast number of good black and other ethnic minority players in all teams now at a very difficult time, overcoming the racism which was rife at all grounds. A true pioneer. RIP.

Didn't he win the FA Cup with Coventry City? All this West Brom rubbish, I dunno...

I was never lucky enough to see him play, I'm a bit too young. But you knew what he meant to people, not just around the Albion, but in the wider footballing community.

The word is thrown around all too often these days, but he was a real legend.

I did have the privilege of seeing him play and he was a great player, one the legendary three degrees along with Brendon Batson and Laurie Cunningham. West brom had a great team back then and he was one of the stars.
