Not really a football fan, but my brother has followed Everton (forgive him he know not what he does:biglaugh
all his life, so back in the day, I did the pin stickers thing, and came to be a 'fan' of QPR. I had the mug, scarf, badge etc. Anyhow Stan Bowles was the man at the time and, if I recall correctly, he scored in one particular season a hatful of goals, Upwards of 40+?? or am I thinking of somebody else??
I remember having a radio tucked under the blankets at boarding school listening mid week as QPR chased the Div 1 title. They fell just short, and I as a non football fan ever since that time, remember being gutted!
