Marathon World record holder Kelvin Kiptum has died aged 24 in a road traffic accident in Kenya. His coach Gervais Hakizimana was also a fatality.
He broke the London Marathon course record last year in a time of 2 hrs 1 min 25 sec, which was the 2nd fastest in history. Later that year he recorded a Wordl record time in the Chicago Marathon of 2 hrs 35 sec.
