Having been away for over 4 years I thought I'd join again just to see some old acquaintances.
At some stage people sometimes have personal struggles that often become too difficult to deal with and they take time out.
I nearly lost both parents when Covid reared its ugly head. Both illnesses were not related to covid, just happened at that moment in time. I felt the need to take time out and left .
They both made a remarkable recovery after I gave up work for a few months to look after them both.
Unfortunately my dad has a bleed on the brain and he's in hospital again.
Life's a real bitch at times and you realise every minute counts when the chips are down.
I've not used the forum since leaving... I just felt like getting in touch with some old chums that made me smile...I've not done that the past few weeks with everything that's going on....

I've been visiting the hospital every day.
It's a very slow process regarding recovery.
I had to smile today when my dad told me that 18 members of the SAS paid a visit during the night and made tunnels in the hospital walls to hide furniture .
I asked why did they do that?
He winked and said they'd sold it . He then explained the plasterers had been in afterwards to cover up the mess they'd made of the walls.
All I could say is they'd done a bloody good job .!!!
