Ronnie eased to a 5-1 win over Ken Doherty. Ding currently 3-2 up against Ashley Hugill. Zhou Yuelong 3-2 up on Women's World Champion Baipat Siripaporn.

Wins for Xiao Guodong against Rod Lawler, and He Guoqiang against Elliot Slessor.
Comfortable 5-1 win for Ronnie against Mark Davis. Wins also for Zhou Yuelong and Si Jiahui.

Ding got thrashed 5-0 by Yuan Sijun. Xu Si upset the odds by beating Mark Selby 5-4. Losses also for John Higgins and Neil Robertson
Ronnie often seems up for it in China.

Ding, less so. Maybe he senses his heyday is probably over?
Ronnie relieved to come through a nervy deciding frame to beat Pang Junxu 5-4. Next up for Ronnie, Ding's conqueror Yuan Sijun.

Mark Allen also came through a nervy deciding frame to defeat Si Jiahui 5-4.

Wins also for Judd Trump, Zhang Anda, He Guoqiang and Xiao Guodong
Ronnie upped his game to beat Yuan Sijun 5-1. In the quarter final he's got Lyu Haotian who defeated Zhang Anda 5-2.
Judd Trump got his revenge on Barry Hawkins for beating him earlier in the season. The full quarter final line up:
Aaron Hill v Wu Yize
Tom Ford v Judd Trump
Mark Allen v Ali Carter
Lyu Haotian v Ronnie O'Sullivan
A few less familiar names in there, that's good. I wonder whether Tom Ford is on the verge of a big breakthrough win? Perhaps I'll end up saying that every week until he does.
Ronnie just couldn't get started against a confident, fluent Lyu Haotian. Ronnie crashed out 5-1!
Judd Trump whitewashed Tom Ford 5-0

Semi-Final Line up:
Wu Yize v Judd Trump
Ali Carter v Lao Haotian

2 Chinese players and 2 English players left.

What did I say? Surprised
Quote:Semi-Final Line up:
Wu Yize v Judd Trump
Ali Carter v Lyu Haotian
Again good to see some different names in the latter stages mix.
It will be an all English final after Judd and Ali Carter both won their matches comfortably.

With £140K for the winner and £63K for the runner up it will be a big payday for either player and a ranking point boost for Carter now that he has to miss the NI Open due to his Macao 5 shenanigans
I daren't predict this, but the odds don't look good...
