I love this forum and its freeTongue but over the last few days its been near impossible to use, even using the Opera browser didnt make a difference, moving from page to page feels like falling into quick sand only to escape and fall into a ditch of treacle, followed by a hole of custard with a final death trap of a plastic ball pit.

Im hoping since the Antiques Roadshow has just started there will be a mass exodus from the site and we get some speed back Wink

Also i was randomly logged out too earlier :S
I'm looking at a number of options, but some changes I've made already may possibly have helped, as the speed seems better now than earlier, whereas it usually gets slower as we get later into the evening.
Well, I have to admit, it did speed up slightly this afternoon, and into the early evening.

But since we hit the favorite 22:00 - 02:00 slot, it's been horrendous.

I just keep getting this 10% of the time, during those hours.

I don't get any error message like others are reporting, but every page takes an absolute age to load. I mean we're talking maybe 60 seconds for every new-page load, and I'm on fibre optics!

Anyway, I think Admin has got the message now - it's slow.
^^Glad its not just me!

I'm the same aswell, although its running very well at the min
I was on around 11:00 and it was desperately, desperately slow. But I came to the forum again at 1:00 and the speed was pretty good at that time and has been since.
The speeds picked up, because the online users have dropped off. Big Grin Every time we have more than 1000 online users, the speed starts to drop off. Once we hit 1300 or more, you may as well forget it, and come back later.
I found it very slow all day yesterday while I was logged in (most of the time between 10am and 5.47pm when I logged out)
The number online that I saw varied from about 700 to 950
No error messages seen, but making a post took ages.
