Fine actor, who died this week at 94. He seems to have been most famous as Sir Arnold, equally duplicitous boss of Sir Humphrey, in Yes, Minister and its sequel Yes, Prime Minister. He did lots of other stuff, even Dr Who. I read he was married for almost 70 years too, which is bloody remarkable in this day and age.

RIP anyway Sad
He was brilliant as Sir Arnold Robinson in my favourite sitcoms of all time i.e Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister.

Sad loss indeed.

R.I.P.
Was literaly thinking of a scene from Yes Prime Minister which he features in yesterday then later saw the news

R.I.P
Very Sad news! Brilliant 'support actor' to the 'triumvirate' of genius!

Indeed so! To my mind, nothing comes close, even though it was a 'golden' time for British Sitcoms! What has gone wrong??
First saw him in Bergerac. RIP.
