^^ Anderson is now the No.1 ranked Test Match bowler, & the oldest to top the list since Aussie leggie Clarrie Grimmett in 1936.
New Zealand v England 2nd Test Wellington (22.00 GMT) Close
New Zealand elected to bowl
England 315-3 (65 overs) Brook 184 no Root 101 no Henry 2-64
England name an unchanged side. New Zealand play the extra batsman. Will Young, & seamer Matt Henry, replacing Tickner & Kuggeleijn.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
^^ Yorkshire to the rescue. Cool
Harry Brook is just ridiculous eek laugh.
And Joe Root is being the old Joe Root again Wink.
A very green pitch resulted in England in trouble at 21-3. Root & Brooks had to soak up the pressure from Henry & Southee before Brook took control as Root was happy to play at his own tempo, with just 7 fours in his 100. Only the rain could prevent England from reaching 400 in the day. More bad weather is expected on day 2.
Bravo Olly Pope.
2 absolute snorters he has taken close in off Leach. Catches win matches Smile.
Fielding is a bit of an obsession for me cricket wise. So important to get it right to take opportunities and save runs. Catches like that can be so vital.

Only 4 full sessions over the 1st 2 days, despite an early start on day 2,with 48 overs lost. A perfectly timed declaration ensured that England remain in command.
