Perth Scorchers take there 4th BBL title with a 79 run victory over the Sydney Sixers. After being in some early trouble at 25-4 Turner & Evans compiled 100 partnership. Andrew Tye took 3-15 as the depleted Sixers were never in the hunt. Evans took the man of the Match award for his 76 not out from 41 balls, to top off aa productive competition for most of our overseas players.
I'm watching the Big Bash between Adelaide & Hobart.

The Strikers scored 229 in their 20 overs, and the Hurrances are putting up a good show in reply... The match is going to be close....

But I notice how many bad mulletts there are on the pitch and in the crowd. Do they not have hairdressers in Australia Wink
I've just been watching a re-run of the Brisbane Heat v Sydney Sixes match.

In it the fielder caught the ball over the boundary line, but threw it in the air before landing beyond the line. He then jumped up in the air, caught the ball again whilst still in the air, and then threw it back over the boundary line. And then he returned back into the field of play and completed what is a legitamate catch. Huh

My understanding is because he was never grounded out of the field of play with his hands on the ball. He is allowed to keep jumping and catching as many times as he wants, so long as he's in the air whilst doing it.
Ever since Steve Smith has joined up with Sydney Sixers he has just been making bucketloads of runs.
Two successive centuries.
Total run machine.
