Opening ceremony this morning; C4 coverage as has become regular, Last Legs etc Cool

Japan is suffering worse with the pandemic than for the Olympics, so hopefully things don't get too bad.
Dame Sarah Storey has won a Gold this morning Smile
Storey has now won 15 Paralympic Golds overall. Awesome achievement.
More Golds for TeamGB today Smile
and again today Wink
As was expected, the Paralympics have been great so far!! Glad to see the start of the athletics now, and - as usual - have been deep into thr wheelchair basketball. To be honest, wheelchair rugby needs work to make it more identifiable as the great sport we watch normally!! Can be done, just look at wheelchair rugby league - exactly as the able bodied version is played (bar running/kicking obviously)

Can't wait to see the initial viewing figures (multiplied by that number - the one our auntie is given year - on - year!!)

One gripe!! perhaps not enough variety of sports covered on the main tv channels as yet! Almost a sanitized version with sports that 'look mainstream, rather than unique given the participants - perhaps nit picking??

The performance of that athlete that used to be a footballer - in the 100 metres - was astonishing!!
I note that some of C4's broadcast team are disabled, above and beyond the Last Legs guys, which is good.

Couldn't agree more!! The Last Leg - for all its positives - is too often too 'scared' (my word) to reflect the full disability spectrum. Ironically, last nights show was one that proved to be the rare exception to the rule!
Lauren Steadman has claimed a quite magnificent Gold in the womens PTS5 Triathlon. A dominant performance.
Claire Cashmore sealed bronze in the same race.

George Peasgood got silver in the mens PTS5 race too.
Gold and silver for GB in the womens T34 100m. Hannah Cockroft with a World Record 16.39 seconds to win.
Kare Adenegan got silver.
