My early impressions of the PS5, it’s a massive console and really stands out compared to my other consoles especially the fat PS3 which back in the day was massive the PS5 makes that look small now, not only that but it’s really heavy. The funny thing is the Xbox Series X is smaller and more compact but feels just as heavy as the PS5.
It’s really easy to set up but has taken me a while to get used to the the new interface menu. The start up sequence to the PS5 is pretty cool, my only negative is at the moment there are no themes like how they are on the previous consoles by this might change in the future.
Transferring data from the PS4 to the PS5 is really simply and you don’t need any wires it’s just a matter of going through the menu on PS5 then it asks you turn on the PS4 hit transfer on PS5 and then press the power button on PS4 then you can chose if wanna transfer certain saves or digital games or all of it then depending on how much there is to transfer and your internet speed it can take a while plus you don’t lose the original data on PS4.
The controller (DualSense) feels great and comfortable it’s much bigger the PS4 Dualshock 4 controller and really looking forward to seeing what this controller can do.
My understanding is it is backward Compatible with PS4 games but not all of it yet and it’s a little disappointing that not a lot of the games have the PS5 boast in graphics especially with Sony’s own games with Xbox most there own games have been given the Series X/S boost or some games have the option with the 120 FPS boosts, so am hoping Sony expand upon this sooner rather then later. But over all really pleased with it and hoping to see games taking advantage of this powerful hardware same goes with the Series X too.
