I have to say it could be close but feel Canelo may have too much for him and probably end with a knockout in Round 9.

Billy Joe hasn’t ever fought anyone close to Canelo’s class. He’s a good fighter but had close fights with Eubank jr, Ryder and Lee ... that’s nowhere near top top quality. Plus with his history of hand injuries I’m not sure he hits hard enough to keep Canelo a bay. If Canelo doesn’t respect his power he will take his time and hunt him down. I expect Billy to be brave but be taken out 7-9 rounds.
Billy's fighting a fight that is frustrating Canelo at the halfway stage but do see Canelo starting to step up the work rate.
Blly Joe retired by his corner in round 8. A brave effort but Canelo wins by TKO. Canelo now holds three versions of the Super Middleweight title and has shown why he is regarded pound for pound the best in the world, and really do wonder if we have anyone here who pose a serious challenge to him.

Canelo said he wanted to be undisputed champion at super middle last year. Only Caleb Plant to go!
I hope once he beats plant he steps up to light heavy again and fights Bertebiev, that would be a potential classic!
As for Saunders it’s going to take a long time to heal from that injury. Once Canelo beats Plant I’m sure the organisations will split the belts up. Titles will be there to be won and the obvious fight would be him versus Callum Smith. If he wants to and can fight again.
I think Billy Joe flew back and was due to have surgery on a broken eye socket yesterday, and I have heard it is not the easiest of injuries for a boxer to recover from.
