There's Lions match on this afternoon again Japan. (Channel4)

It's the 1st Lions match on British soil sinch 2005.
The Lions won 28-10 but at a cost as captain Alun Wyn Jones went off with a shoulder injury that has ruled him out of the tour of South Africa.

Ireland's Conor Murray has been named as the new captain.

It was also the 1st Lions match ever in Scotland...

Might as well change the name to English Lions plus a few foreigners bladewave
^ There's 12 English, 10 Welsh and there's 8 Scots Duhan Van Der Merwe, Rory Sutherland and Hamish Watson have all been included, as have Glasgow Warriors pair Ali Price and Zander Fagerson.

Stuart Hogg, Chris Harris and Finn Russell have also been selected and it's the biggest amount of Scotland players in a squad selected by Warren Gatland.

One Welshman who's not going is Lions captain Alun Wynn Jones who dislocated his shoulder in the Japan match.
feel sorry for Alun hev's a great Lions captain
is there a Lions tour schedule anywshere??

Still believe the squad of 37 is pretty light considering the two key injuries yesterday wouldn't be surprised if a few more get injured or worse covid jumps in
See they have put the Test Matches right at the end of the schedule. I am sure I'm correct that the Lions would play at least two or three provincial warm up games before a Test match, and I think the pandemic has probably put a stop to all that. It's a well bsalanced squad to me but South Africa Is not an easy place to go and win in rugby.
All three test matches against South Africa will now be played in Cape Town due to Covid considerations.
So that's that then!! 12 more years until dragged from undoubted mothballs to tour SA again. Meanwhile packed away for the next four years minimum. Can we get our lives back now please, and look forward to the all important domestic/international seasons.

The main achievement this time around may be to have ruled out Biggar for a substantial period of time. I am sure Northampton will rest easy knowing that being a lion is worth the price paid.
