Good choice, you've pretty much covered the area by the sounds of it, the only omission would be Janet's Foss, a small waterfall with a cave, inhabited by a fairy queen called Janet, the pool was used for sheep dipping in the past.
You mentioned Malham Tarn, I've been known to swim in this lake, enough to freeze your bollocks off even in summer.eek
I actually have a watercolour painting of Malham Cove hanging in my dining room.
Most importantly any walk in the area needs to start or end with a visit to a pub, The Lister Arms & The Buck Inn spring to mind, thirsty work is walking. Really hope these 2 great watering holes can survive as a business during these difficult times.
I didn't know about dipping the sheep into water below Janet's Foss. eek
Glad I didn't drink the water.
It's good to go there in April/May because of the bluebells and wild garlic.
The last time that I was there I had a couple of pints and a meal at the Lister Arms in their beer garden.

I don't really, fall into that stereotypical category. Important

Quite ironic though, coming from a Brummie that are usually, (wrongly imho), portrayed as rather dull, unimaginative & stupid. But if the cap fits. Big Grin

those dummy brummies you talk of usually fall into one of two categories...
1. actors pretending to be from bham or west midlands; ie. barry in auf weidersehan pet.
2, retarded/drunk council estate neds who call into tv or talk radio shows.
