1st T20 Ageas Bowl
England 162-7 Malan 66 Buttler 44 Richardson 2-13 Maxwell 2-14 Agar 2=32
Australia 160-6 Warner 58 Finch 46 Rashid 2-29 Archer 2-33
England win by 2 runs
Australia reached 124/1 in the 14th over but still couldn't overcome England's modest score of 162. Australia managed only 36 runs from the last 38 balls of their innings.
^^ 5 wickets went down during this period, due to a combination of good bowling & some poor decision making. Once Finch was out it was up to Warner to bat through with only 6 or 7 runs an over required.
2nd T20 from Southampton today

Australia won the toss and will bat
Australia 157-7 (20 overs) Finch 40 Jordan 2-40
Finch really cocked it up by getting leg spinner Zampa to bowl the 19th over.

England win by 6 wickets
^^ Hindsight, Finch's other options would have been Cummins whose last over was expensive or a tried & tested death bowler in Richardson. You could say Morgan made a similar error in bowling Archer who went for 18 runs in the 20th over when Tom Curran closed out the previous match. These sort of decisions can make a captain look a fool or a genius dependent on the outcome. It's amazing how hard it can be to win a game that you appear to be in control of, the closer you get the tougher it gets as everything gets magnified.
